TWO MEN DIED IN AN UNDERGROUND TANK YESTERDAY

The bodies of two men were recovered from an underground fuel tank at a filling station in Lagos yesterday. Both men were said to be trapped while carrying out there duties. They were said to be cleaning and renovating the tank of Fatgbems petrol filling station at Oando bus-stop in Berger.



LASEMA's (Lagos state emergency agency) response team at the incident scene said that the two victims died as a result of gas emission and suffocation
LASEMA's General Manager, Michael Akintunde said that proper investigation would be done to ascertain what actually happened to the victims.
There bodies have been moved to Lagos Mainland Hospital Mortuary by the Environmental Health monitoring Unit.
The victims were identified as Adekunle Ipaye and other man by his nickname 'United'.
