The principal of Eva Adelaja Girls Secondary School in Bariga, Lagos: Mrs C. O Coker, VP, Mrs Balogun and four other teachers were removed from the school following the investigation of a JSS 2 student, Ogechi Anyalewechi on the 16th of march. These was a result of battering Miss Ogechi and subjecting her to hard labour.
Ogechi became their victim, simply because she slapped back the head girl of the school, who initially slapped her. She was caned and made to cut grass for over four hours.
The principal, VP and other teachers involved are no longer working for the school and will report at Education District 2 of Lagos State.
