LIVES WERE LOST IN THE COLLITION OF TWO VECHILES IN LAGOS

News from The Nation stated that : At least 10 persons including a baby were on Monday night burnt beyond recognition after a fully loaded 18-seater bus and a fuel laden car exploded in Lagos.
The incident occurred at Gbaji Bridge, Iyana Yafin in Badagry, a Lagos district at about 8:30pm, after the bus rammed into the car.



12 other persons were said to have sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Badagry General Hospital.
The driver of the passenger bus which was coming from Seme border was said to have drove against traffic and rammed into the Mazda car carrying three people.
While all three passengers on the saloon car were burnt to death, seven people on the coaster bus marked KJA654XF were also burnt beyond recognition.

According to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) the bus driver drove against traffic in a bid to evade arrest from officials of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).
It was gathered that the bus driver turned off the vehicle lights to escape Customs men who mounted road blocks, as he sped against traffic and collided with the Mazda car carrying fuel.
Both vehicles exploded on impact, causing a huge fire.
