EXPIRED BISCUIT SELLERS ARRESTED BY LAGOS STATE SANITATION TASK FORCE

The Chairman of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) SP Olayinka Egbeyemi paraded two suspects and warned members of the public to be cautious of re-packaged expired digestive biscuits selling across the State.
The two suspects are Mr. Rabiu Olalekan and Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu. They were paraded at the taskforce office in Alausa Ikeja for selling re – packaged  and expired digestive biscuits to members of the public around Mosafejo market in Oshodi, Lagos.
He narrated that one of his Officers arrested a lady (Bimbo Oyewole) at Oshodi under the bridge while she removing the expiry dates on a pack of a digestive biscuit.
The lady, upon interrogation was accosted by the Task Force Official to the place of purchase of the expired digestive biscuit at N1900 per pack from one Mr. Rabiu Olalekan and Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu. They confessed to have been doing the business and selling them to members of the public at a cheaper rate.
They sell a pack of re – packaged and expire digestive biscuit goes for N1900 as against the non – expired one sold at N4500 per pack.





Ther confessed to have distributed across the state.
