JAMIE VARDY'S LOOLALIKE TREATED LIKE A CELEBRITY IN FRANCE

The just concluded season was fantastic for Leicester city and England striker Jamie Vardy.
It has been an equally thrilling ride for his doppelganger and idol Lee Chapman - a postman from Leicester - who was given six months unpaid leave from the Royal Mail to pursue his lookalike work.

Mr Chapman happens to be the same age, height and weight as Jamie Vardy and is also in France for the euros
After Vardy came off the bench and scored for England in their last-gasp 2-1 victory against Wales, Mr Chapman was thrown into the air and mobbed by thousands of Three Lions fans.
To the chant 'Vardy's on fire, your defence is terrified' sung to the tune of club classic 'Freed From Desire' by Gala, the postman was soaked in beer by the gleeful travelling fans.

Speaking to MailOnline he said: 'It was overwhelming, absolutely mental. They sung the "Vardy's on fire" song and lifted me in the air.
'No matter where I went in France I was getting stopped by people wanting photos.
'It wasn't just English fans as well, it was foreigners who shouted "Vardy, Vardy" and then wanted a picture which just shows the scale this has gone.'
Asked how he felt when Vardy scored, he replied: 'My Leicester fan came out and I went mental and it meant there was even more of a reaction from the England fans last night.'
